Psychedelic
Integration Group
Let your psychedelic insights transform your daily life.
What is Psychedelic “Integration”?
“Integration” is the personal work done as a result of a psychedelic experience, after it has ended. It is the process by which individuals make sense of their psychedelic experiences, then apply insights toward implementing meaningful behavioral changes in their daily lives.
(For more on defining integration read this article.)
What are the Benefits of Integration?
Integration enables individuals to translate the short-lasting effects of psychedelic compounds into more long-lasting shifts in openness, spirituality, motivation, wellness, or overall adjustment. Integration can also reduce trauma for persons who have had challenging experiences, as it enables them to make meaning and move forward into a new future.
“If you get the message, hang up the phone. For psychedelic drugs are simply instruments, like microscopes, telescopes, and telephones. The biologist does not sit with eye permanently glued to the microscope, he goes away and works on what he has seen.” ~Alan Watts

About David
LCPC, LPC | Psychotherapist
PSYCHEDELIC PREPARATION & INTEGRATION, KETAMINE-ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY, GESTALT THERAPY, COUPLES COUNSELING
David (he/him) is a courageously curious, deeply relational, and gently direct psychotherapist. He supports individuals, couples, and families in more fully connecting with self and others.
David is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Maryland, and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Washington D.C., holding a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
David completed two-year training in Gestalt Therapy with the Gestalt Institute of Pittsburgh, and focused on working with trauma with the Gestalt Centre of UK. He earned a Ketamine Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy Advanced Certificate with Fluence, and completed the Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy Immersion with the AEDP Institute. He is also continually advancing his skills through ongoing education, consultation, and his own personal work.
David collaborates with clients to co-create a safe environment where growth and healing unfold. He trusts that all people possess an inner healing wisdom, and that as people return to wholeness, they naturally discover new and meaningful choices.
David’s style draws primarily from Gestalt: an experiential, relational, here-and-now-oriented, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed approach. He utilizes mindfulness, somatic/body process, role-reversal, enactment, dreams, parts work, and other creative experiments. He also fluidly integrates Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Polyvagal Theory, Psychedelic/Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAP), and other therapeutic frameworks, depending on client needs.
David has provided psychotherapy in outpatient and intensive outpatient settings, across both the mental health and substance use domains. He has supported clients to work through and improve depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, shame, anger, relationships, obsessions/compulsions, attachment wounds, family-of-origin issues, grief/loss, transitional challenges, and other concerns. He has also facilitated community-based psychedelic support groups, and assisted in a variety of psychedelic art, education, harm-reduction, and legislative advocacy projects.
Beyond his interest in psychotherapy, David enjoys rock-climbing/bouldering, gloving with friends, producing short films, and embarking on video-game quests.
